The Supercharger in the GTP is manufactured by Eaton.
But the only authorized aftermarket company is
Magnuson Products. I was having a little trouble with my SC making funny
cricket, squeaky sounds so they suggessted that I send it back to them for further
inspection. Below are the pictures from my dissasembly. I think the hardest part is
removing all the bolts and the fuel rail. After removing the SC, I noticed a funny looking
substance all over. I still don't know what it is and am consulting the Grand
Prix mailing list on it. You can see from the pictures there is a dark brownish looking sludge
all over, in the SC, in the intake, etc. I have no clue what this stuff is, anyone know?
Also, since Im sending the SC back to Magnuson anyways, Im going to have them
S-port it for me... this should reduce SC temps and increase HP.
UPDATE:
The brown sludge turned out to be coolant that leaked through the TB Spacer... because stupid me stripped
one of the studs... that would explain the lean condition... I hope I didnt do any serious
long term damage..... :(
