In 1996 Pontiac Launched the new Pontiac Grand Prix Widetrack Series to make a move to beat Ford and Toyota with the Taurus and Camry. The Grand Prix is powered by a 3.1L V6 or an option on the SE for the 3800 series II engine. If you equip your GT with a GTP package you will get the most powerfull engine in it's class pushing 240 BHP! And with an average 0-60 rating of 6.4 to 6.9 seconds this car beats
the stock Mustang GT 4.6
